A deep and wide variety of experiences is what has made me the rare bird I am in the realm of international trade. I’ve worked for the WTO to the OECD, ECFIN, CEPR, the Swedish Finance Ministry, and an array of national government, in addition to working on Free Trade Agreements for the European Commission (e.g. South Korea, Japan, Canada, T-TIP with the US), and Sustainability Impact Assessments (e.g. Mercosur, Andean countries, Central America, ASEAN, India and Libya). I’ve done academic research, policy research, consulting and advising as well as working on the ground with the actual implementation of trade agreements and development of quality infrastructure crucial for regulation.
I am a proud Ignitor and Instigator of the Tradeexperettes- a network of hundreds of awesome female trade experts from all walks of trade and all over the world.
Blockchain has the potential to not just unblock bottlenecks in international trade, but also to add a whole new layer of transparency, traceability and accountability to the supply chain. To understand more of how it can be used, and the policy needed for the technology to unfold, I co-chair Hyperledger’s Public Sector Special Interest Group.
